About Me

I am a fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor, offering a warm and professional counselling service. I work face to face, online through Zoom or by telephone, offering counselling for individuals for short or long-term work.

I am fully insured, accredited with the National Counselling Society (NCS) and a registered member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
With committed, continuous, personal, professional development and regular supervision, I am able to ensure, I am working in the best possible way to support clients, practicing ethnically and up to date, with current methods of practice.

Becoming a counsellor was a natural progression for me, having worked many years in the care sector. I felt this was what I was being drawn towards, being able to help other people is something I feel very passionate about.

Having experienced counselling myself, I understand its empowering and life-changing potential. Bringing awareness of the particular environment, in which confusion moves towards clarity and distress and paves the way for growth and healing.

I take great care, to build a genuine and compassionate therapeutic relationship, which is based on trust and respect. Thus creating a safe space, free from judgement, where you are fully accepted and listened to.

Working in a Person-Centred way, I recognise everyone’s experience is unique.
I will respect where you are right now, allowing you to set the pace and where we go.
With empathy, I strive to truly understand what life is like for you.

Listening carefully, I will offer observations and reflections, helping you explore what is at the root of your distress. With the right support, we can discover inner resources we never even knew we had, and make choices that enrich our lives.

I have specialist training in ‘Eating Disorders’ and I have helped individuals with a wide range of issues, including, depression, anxiety, stress, domestic abuse, low self-esteem and addictions and many more.

Without the therapeutic relationship, there can be no effective or meaningful therapy.

This applies to all forms of counselling and psychotherapy. And regardless of the theoretical orientation of your therapist or counsellor, the relationship developed between you will be considered of high importance.

I have worked in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, worked with various disorders and issues, as well as working and facilitating group work.

I am currently volunteering for a charity in North Somerset, offering counselling and support for persons with mental health issues.

I have worked with many clients through agencies, private recommendations and voluntary work.
And as a result of these, I have had very positive feedback.

Seeing my clients grow throughout our work together, makes the sun shine so much brighter!
